Christy DeFrain has been named vice president, sales and account management for Purchasing Power, LLC. In addition to retaining significant responsibilities from her previous position as vice president, account management, DeFrain also will now lead all strategic sales efforts for the company, which serves over 260 key clients representing more than 15 separate industries. DeFrain splits her time between offices in Atlanta and Kansas City, MO, and reports directly to Elizabeth Halkos, Chief Revenue Officer for Purchasing Power.
“We are thrilled for Christy to take on this newly created role of vice president, sales and account management. Her proven leadership abilities coupled with her natural sales acumen make her the ideal executive to head efforts supporting the consultant and broker channels, our primary means of distributing our employee purchase program,” Halkos remarked. “The unified leadership of sales and account management means stronger support and alignment for both our broker and consultant partners, as well as client relationships,” she added.
DeFrain has 17 years of experience in employee benefits on both the sales and account management side. Previously, she served as a sales professional for Mercer Health & Benefits, and worked in several sales positions including national vice president, group national accounts, for Ameritas Group Insurance. DeFrain joined Purchasing Power two years ago as vice president, account management.
