Rachael Chesley and Shannon Lane have been named Regional Sales Directors at Purchasing Power, LLC, one of the fastest-growing e-commerce voluntary benefit companies offering a leading employee purchase program through the convenience of payroll deductions. Chesley is based in San Diego and assumes sales responsibilities covering Southwest territories. Lane is based in Boston and is responsible for the Northeast regional sales.
In their respective new roles, Chesley and Lane are responsible for strategic sales efforts directed toward benefit brokers and the targeted employer clients they represent. Chesley will focus her sales activity in Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and the southern half of Nevada. Lane’s sales efforts cover New England states including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Both regional sales directors are charged with building new broker segments to generate lasting business relationships as they represent the Purchasing Power program and its financial flexibility advantages for employees.

Prior to coming to Purchasing Power, Chesley was a client executive and client sales associate at Marsh & McLennan Agency, a leading insurance brokerage. She also served as a regional consultant and employee communications manager at Gallagher where she represented the company at key conferences and meetings, and managed employee communications for more than 60 clients. Chesley earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, IN. Additionally, she holds CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) and VBS (Voluntary Benefit Specialist) certifications.
Lane joins Purchasing Power directly from Lane Benefits Group, a full-service employee benefits brokerage where she where she represented a wide array of employee benefits for both private and public-sector clients. Previously, she held senior sales positions with Aetna, MetLife, and Prudential covering the New England region. Lane earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing communications from Emerson College in Boston. She holds life, health, property and casualty insurance licenses in 12 states.
