This year’s event will be hosted at the Marine Corps Headquarters in Washington D.C. on May 10, 2012.
Military Spouse magazine selected six military service branch finalists in an online vote. These individuals were nominated and chosen by members of the military community and Americans across the country. The 2012 finalists are:
• Air Force – Jeremy Hilton of Burke, Virginia
• Army – El Brown of Monterey, California
• Coast Guard – Jennifer Bassett of Astoria, Oregon
• Marine Corps – Stephanie Geraghty of Jacksonville, North Carolina
• Navy – Tricia Ross of Jacksonville, North Carolina
• National Guard – Christine Gilbreath of Crowley, Texas
“Each of our six finalists are standout candidates, honorably representing their branch and their community,” said Babette Maxwell, Military Spouse magazine founder and executive editor. “Anyone could easily win the Military Spouse of the Year Award.”
The Military Spouse of the Year represents the millions of past and present military spouses who continue to thrive in a wartime environment, dedicate their lives and families to service and give back to a community in need.
